Employee Spotlight: Brent Eckart

Meet Brent Eckart. Brent is the Computer Operations Supervisor at First Keystone Community Bank (FKCB), where he has worked for more than four years.

Brent is a dedicated, tireless employee who believes in giving his all to his job. “I love helping people—that’s definitely my favorite part of the job. There’s something very satisfying about helping customers and co-workers find solutions to their problems.”

Brent joined the staff of FKCB as computer operations processor in 2021 and within two years was promoted to supervisor. He has enjoyed the culture, dedication and commitment to community at FKCB.

“I wanted to work for a company that I could be proud of. First Keystone has a large footprint within our communities and it’s an organization that’s allowed me to grow,” Brent said.

A lifelong resident of Berwick, PA, Brent didn’t plan on a career in banking while attending Luzerne County Community College (LCCC) pursuing a degree in broadcast communications. “Banking definitely wasn’t on my bingo card,” Brent said. “Growing up and all through high school and college, I thought I would have a life-long career in broadcasting and media.”

Brent entered the radio industry after graduating from LCCC holding positions in production and programming. After seven years, he needed a change. “I willingly left the industry and found my footing in banking shortly thereafter.”

When he’s not at FKCB, Brent spends time in Berwick with his husband practicing his hobbies of photography, videography and graphic design. “I’ve always had a creative side. I also enjoy exploring the latest tech, keeping up on the latest trends and learning new skills.”

But it’s the people and company culture at FKCB that motivate Brent. “Both aspects make it easier to wake up in the morning and start every day in a great mood!”
