What Our Mobile App Offers
The First Keystone Community Bank Mobile App (“the App”) makes it easy to manage your finances, monitor your credit score, and control access to your credit and debit cards on the go through your mobile device!

Our App Allows You To:

Locate nearby branches and ATMs

View your account balances and e-statements

Transfer money internally or to external accounts at other institutions

Pay your bills

Set up alerts to track specific account activities like low balance warnings or incoming deposits

Deposit a check with your mobile phone’s camera*

Turn access to your credit or debit card(s) on or off with the click of a button

Categorize and track your spending, set budgets and goals, and track your external accounts in MX Money

View your credit score and receive suggestions on ways to improve your credit

*Mobile Remote Deposit requires enrollment and approval before use

 

Purpose of This Policy

This Mobile App Privacy Policy, in combination with other relevant privacy notices that we provide to you (e.g., pursuant to financial privacy laws), informs you of the policies and practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of any personal information that we and our service providers collect from or about users in connection with the App’s website and mobile functionality (the “Services”).

THE TYPES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT IN THE APP

Through your use of the Services, we may collect personal information provided by you in a variety of ways. This may include:

  • Your name, address, email address, phone number, or Social Security Number when you create an account or enroll for certain services.
  • Any financial and transaction information required to provide you with the Services such as account numbers, payment card numbers and expiration dates, or transaction and payment history.
  • Identification verification or credit bureau information associated with use of certain services.
  • Any additional personal information or feedback you provide us regarding support requests or feedback on the App or Services.

Other data may be collected about or by the technology you use to access the App and the Services. This may include:

 

  • Device data, such as manufacturer and model, operating system and version, hardware specifications, IP address, language settings, mobile service carrier, network connection (e.g. Wi-Fi, LTE, 4G, 5G), and GPS location data if enabled. Certain features may also access your Contact List.
  • Online activity data, such as browsing history, navigation patterns or tendencies, activity or interaction with pages or screens, and duration of page visits.
  • Cookies, which are text files that websites store on a visitor’s device to uniquely identify that user’s browser or to store settings or information in the browser to facilitate more efficient browsing on the site for future visits and noting the user’s activity and patterns on the site.
  • Local storage like HTML5 or Flash which apps may use in a similar fashion to the way your browser uses cookies but storing them locally on your device to notate app settings and preferences or activity.
  • Web beacons, also known as pixel tags or clear GIFs, which indicate that a portion of a website or email was accessed or opened, or that certain content was viewed or clicked.
  • Location information.  If you have enabled location services on your mobile device and agree to the collection of your location when prompted by the App or the Services, we may collect location data even when the App is closed or not in use to provide services such as alerts or fraud detection. If you do not want us to collect this information, you may decline the collection of your location data when prompted or adjust the location services settings on your device later.
  • Camera functionality and image information or files may be accessed or collected by the App if you have enrolled in Mobile Remote Deposit services.  This allows the App to collect the check image(s) and transmit them for processing.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION COLLECTED BY THE APP

We use your information to process requests made during your use of the Services, improve or enhance the quality of your experience, and verify your identity to help keep your information safe.  This can take the form of:

  • Creating, securing, and maintaining your account or profile.
  • Confirming your identity and authorizing your requests.
  • Remembering preferences or settings that you select.
  • Sending you security alerts, administrative notifications regarding updates or maintenance, or promotional materials relating to the Services.

We may also use your collected information to maintain compliance with any applicable laws and regulations or compliance with any regulatory or internal audit processes or procedures.  This may include:

  • Responding to any requests for information from law enforcement, legal proceedings or subpoenas, or government authorities.
  • Protecting the privacy rights of you, others, and the Bank, including filing or defending legal claims.
  • Providing information to internal or external auditors, or to regulatory examiners, to demonstrate compliance with all required laws, regulations, and controls.
  • Preventing, identifying, or investigating fraudulent, unauthorized, unethical, or illegal activity including cyber-crime and identity theft.

Your information may be included in “non-identifiable records” created by the App or the Services.  Non-identifiable records remove all personal information that is specifically identifiable to you, such as your name or Social Security Number, but keep the usage data associated with the App or the Services.  This data can be used to analyze patterns or trends and improve or enhance the functionality, performance, or user experience with the App or the Services.  We reserve the right to use and disclose non-identifiable information with third parties at our discretion.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Your personal information collected through your use of the App or the Services may be disclosed as described below:

 

  • In accordance with our other Privacy Policies. This Mobile App Privacy Policy is solely associated with your use of the App and the Services described above and does not apply to any information processed by us or third parties with whom we share information that is not associated with or collected by the App or the Services.
  • To third-party service providers. We may share your personal information with third-parties or affiliated providers that perform services for or on behalf of us to provide you with the App or the Services.  These third parties or affiliated providers use your data as described above to provide and enhance the App and Services, verify and maintain your identity and account, and provide technical support.
  • To governmental or legal authorities.  Regardless of any privacy choices you make regarding your personal information, the App or the Services may disclose your information to law enforcement, government agencies, or private parties associated with compliance and protection services as requested.
LINKS TO OTHER SITES

The App or the Services may contain links to third-party websites.  When you follow a link to another website or location, you will leave the App and go to another site owned by another entity that may collect personal or anonymous information from you.  The App’s inclusion of a link to another website or location is included for your convenience and does not signify an endorsement of that website, its content, or its data collection policies.  We have no control over and are not responsible for these other websites, their content, or their collection of your data.  Please be aware that the terms of this Mobile App Privacy Policy do not apply to these other websites or locations.  We encourage you to review and consider the privacy policy of every website, app, or service that you utilize so you can make informed decisions regarding your personal information.

YOUR CHOICES REGARDING YOUR INFORMATION

You have several choices and controls regarding use of information on the App or the Services:

 

  • “Do Not Track” Signals. Some web browsers offer the option to enable “Do Not Track” signals that they send to websites and other online services you visit in that browser asking them not to collect information or activity.  Please be aware there is currently no regulation or standard that governs how websites and services must respond to these signals, and therefore, it is no guarantee that websites or services comply with this request.  The App and the Services currently do not act in response to these signals, but should a standard be established, they will act in accordance with those future requirements.
  • Access, Update, or Correct Your Information.   • Opt Out of Email or SMS Communications. If you have signed up to receive our email marketing communications, you may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link located at the bottom of any marketing email or electronic communication.  Alternatively, you may opt out of receiving marketing communications by contacting us through any of the methods mentioned above.  If you provide your phone number to the Services, it may be used to send you notifications by SMS (text message) for features such as fraud alerting.  You may opt out of these communications by removing or unlinking your phone number in the Services.
  • Opt Out of Location Tracking. If you initially consented to the collection of your location data through the App or the Services, you may subsequently stop the collection of location services data at any time by changing preferences on your mobile device.  Please note that withdrawal of consent to collect location data may adversely affect or disable the use of some features of the App or Services.
SAFEGUARDS DISCLAIMER

We take the privacy and security of your data and personal information very seriously, and have implemented reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards and controls to protect against theft, loss, and unauthorized access, use, modification, or disclosure of that data.  However, transmission of information via the Internet will never be completely secure and we cannot infallibly guarantee the security of your information.

PRIVACY POLICY UPDATES

This Mobile App Privacy Policy is subject to revision.  You will be notified of any changes to the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information via a notice inside the App or the Services.  Changes will be effective thirty (30) days following notice to existing users and effective immediately to any new users of the App or the Services.  If you object to any of the pending changes, you must notify us that you wish to deactivate your account prior to the effective date at the end of the thirty (30) day window.  Continued use of the App or the Services following notice of changes will indicate your acknowledgement and agreement to those changes.
