Jun 11, 2024

Berwick, PA First Keystone Community Bank is proud to announce the graduation of Edward Chesek, IT Specialist Lead, from the 2023-2024 PA Bankers Leadership Institute.

Chesek completed six two-day sessions of the Institute’s training model that focuses on success that comes from strong organizational culture and how it relates to performance, leadership, engagement and communication to achieve results.

“We are proud of Edward and his accomplishments in the PA Bankers’ Leadership program,” said First Keystone President and CEO Elaine Woodland. “He will use the information and skills he learned to better serve our local communities, our customers, and his fellow employees.”

The PA Bankers Leadership Institute utilizes a multi-dimensional leadership training model which takes participants “behind the curtain” of leadership success. Participants are guided by banking leadership experts, including Dr. Linda Eagle, president and co-founder of Global Bankers Institute, and Dennis Budinich, founder and president of FTC Together.

“The Pennsylvania Bankers Association is proud to continually offer the PA Bankers Leadership Institute,” said Duncan Campbell, PA Bankers’ president & CEO. “Through its unique model, the program develops leaders who will sustain, maintain and grow Pennsylvania’s banking industry, which is vital to the economic future of the commonwealth.”

Chesek has served the banking industry for three years in the Information Technology (IT) department. In addition to providing technical support as needed, his duties include training and on-boarding new IT personnel and serving as a mentor to provide continued instruction as the new employees grow within the department. He also provides IT training to new bank employees during onboarding as well as providing more advanced training for existing employees within the bank.

Chesek is also the primary point of contact for departments across the Bank regarding creative design requests pertaining to graphic arts, website or intranet sites, in-branch TV slides, or other media as needed.
