Employee Spotlight: Tracy Mueller

Meet Tracy Mueller. She is a customer service representative/teller in the Swiftwater branch of First Keystone Community Bank.

“Unexpected” is the first word that comes to mind when describing Tracy, starting with her previous occupation in the local casino industry. As she transitioned to the world of banking, she was surprised by the difference in the businesses.

“I never planned for a career in banking. After retiring from the casino industry, I figured banking would be a natural transition,” Tracy said. “Boy was I wrong!”

Tracy started her career with FKCB two years ago as a travelling teller/CSR in the bank’s Pocono branches before relocating to the Swiftwater branch as a CSR. Her first surprise came when she learned about the extensive community involvement by the employees at FKCB.

“I was impressed with the commitment to the local communities and the activities we as a company participate in, as well as the organizations we give back to,” Tracy said. “I have always been a strong proponent of community support so this was very important to me.”

Tracy is the Judge of Elections for Pocono 4 and an active member of the General Federation of Women’s Club where she participates in fundraisers and educational activities to help support local and state organizations.

She brings that enthusiasm and optimism to her teammates at FKCB by planning various team-building activities outside of work.

“We have a great team at FKCB. So far we’ve participated in a 5k walk/run, kayak/tubing trips, a paint and sip event, and several group dinners,” Tracy said. “And I have plenty more fun in the works!”

But Tracy’s favorite part of the job is meeting the customers. “I love meeting new clients and developing new relationships. You just never know who you’re going to meet.”

Outside of FKCB, Tracy dabbles in direct marketing opportunities and enjoys traveling with her husband and St. Bernards. Her hobbies include kayaking, card-making, scrapbooking, and “all things bling.”

We could add people-pleasing to that list, as well.
